Job Title: Creative Designer & Project Manager
Location: Omaha, NE
Position Summary:
College of Saint Mary, located in the heart of Omaha’s Aksarben Village area, is seeking a Creative Designer & Project Manager. This position will play a vital role within a growing marketing team. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated collaborator with a team- centered attitude. The key to this role is to execute high-quality graphic design projects, manage vendor partners and satisfy institutional stakeholders' diverse needs. This individual must possess the ability to manage all elements of the design and production process for projects that visually represent the college in print, online and other mediums. Much more than just creative design, this is a graphic design skillset with the ability to go out and meet with internal clients, understand their objectives, and quickly design and propose solutions in a rapidly changing and evolving environment. As a team player, the successful candidate in this position will have 5+ years of graphic design experience and a deep understanding of branding and manage multiple projects with shifting priorities and deadlines efficiently.
This Position:
• Assumes a key role in marketing, design, publications, and the production of projects originating in multiple areas of the University.
• Must quickly assess project scope and strategic value to begin design work or contract with appropriate vendors.
• Provides graphic design expertise to help fulfill the vision of various departments throughout the CSM community.
• Contributes to the conceptual/creative design responsibility and production for College of Saint Mary print and electronic publications including, but not limited to, e-blasts, brochures, advertisements, invitations, programs, swag, social media and other internal and external communications. Materials produced will support the brand awareness for enrollment, alumnae & donor relations, athletics, student development and academic affairs.
• Produces highly visual and quality work that adheres to the institution’s overall visual identity. Stays current with print design, production and technical skills.
• Is responsible for coordinating all projects, quotes and timelines for print vendors on internal and fundraising projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Include:
• In-depth, expert-level understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud and associated programs, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Has a sharp eye for detail and can establish prioritization.
• A robust graphic design and project management skillset.
• High degree of creativity, energy and marketing skills to respond to numerous requests for assistance from the campus community while working effectively with differing personalities.
• Ability to bring creative and fresh perspectives that reinforce existing branding elements while aligning with brand standards.
• Background using Asana a plus.

• Ability to quickly make design decisions with an understanding of budget implications and time requirements.
• Excellent communications skills, ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines is a must.

• Ability to think independently, seek out opportunities to continuously advance the college brand and exercise discretion and sound judgment.
Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in fine arts or art/graphic design, communication/business or related field.
• At least 5-years of experience in graphic design and graphic project management.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud publication design software required.
Preferred Education and Experience
• Excellent, professional-level computer skills in publication design is essential.
