Mastering the Technology of Participation is offered by the Institute for Cultural Affairs and is supported by the ToP Network. It is a year-long advanced facilitation seminar that combines quarterly workshops with structured field experience and mentored feedback. Co-taught by the most experienced ToP trainers in the United States, the seminar enables participants to complete the requirements for

professional facilitation certification, and powerfully expand their capacity for initiating and sustaining organizational and community change. Seminar benefits
The seminar enables participants to complete the core competencies required for ToP facilitation certification, and to powerfully increase their knowledge of and capacities for participatory facilitation and facilitative leadership. Participants learn how to design complex participatory processes, and become fluent in ToP methods in relation to other facilitation and organizational development tools. Prerequisites
The ToP Facilitation Methods basic course and completion of ToP Participatory Strategic Planning before or during the training year. Recommended: support from an organization or client-base within which to apply and practice facilitation skills.
