The Journey so far has been filled with tough decisions! lots of stress! The love, support, and sarcasm from Kim, Jesse, Erica, Sophie, Matt, Madison, and Mom have kept me going. I learned from the most loving and caring seminary! Found great new friends! I found more love and support in the best-chosen family a person could ever be blessed with! It all keeps getting better and better!

I started to doubt this day would come, but I can joyfully can announce it is here and everything is moving so very quickly! Come help me celebrate!

Well, it has been a while since I created this account. After several years of seminary and developing ideas for my ministry, this page is evolving. The concept of Spiral+Bound originally was to connect people to the helpers. I will still do that and people can contact me and I will still work to connect people to the helpers. What I see in this ministry is evolving into a space to come for light! A place to find joy and happiness through music, messages, and art that connects us. A place to come when we spiral down and need a lift or a place when we are spiraling up and riding high to share our joy. Please like, join, and share. Peace and Joy to you all.

Some have ask what is Spiral+Bound and who behind it. My name is Doug Rothgeb I am beginning my second year of seminary. I started this as place for connecting and community. I began CPE on June 1st with an intention to post daily and journal so you could journey with me. Sadly my Dad past away on June 4 th and I was lost. I was angry and sad. I was not sure what life this would take on after I finished CPE on August 13 th. Tuesday we as a family had to say goodbye to our family Dog Zoe. Today we get word of the loss of a young friend in many ways that died overseas. This summer has been rough. So much sadness and death. I now see we all have been dealing with so much for nearing two years now. My calling is now pointing me towards recovery, finding happiness, rejuvenating Joy and finding Christ together past the pain and into the light. How do we do that? What can we do? Journey with me in the spiral and let's find peace through happiness today. Please share, follow and like. Let's build this community of spiral bound together.
