Walk-A-Thon is in full swing!

Each year, Marian students come together to show their school spirit, rally their classmates, and work toward a goal that directly supports the Marian community.

Year after year, our alumnae continue to make a meaningful impact through their generous support of the Walk-A-thon. For example, Melanie Burke Ziegler '75: "As a Marian alumna and proud grandmother of a current Sophomore, I am honored to support the Walk-A-thon and give back to the school that helped shape who I am today. Marian gave me wonderful friendships, an excellent education, terrific memories, and a strong foundation. It’s very special to see my granddaughter experience the same Marian spirit and community

Marian's beloved tradition of Walk-A-thon starts its 42nd year this year. Walk-A-Thon is a fun, spirited fundraising competition between the classes to see who can raise the most money to support tuition assistance.

Every year, we are grateful to our alumnae who support the event. For example, Molly Carpetner Garriot ‘85: "Throwback to year one of the Marian Walk-A-Thon! Blisters? Worth it. Memories? Priceless. Crusader pride? Lifelong. So proud my daughters have been part of this incredible tradition. Let’s keep the momentum going for the next generation!”

What began as a Marian service trip experience for Kaitlyn Baysa ’17 grew into a lifelong commitment to servant leadership. Years later, she returned to the Dominican Republic as a mentor and chaperone, helping Marian students experience the same lessons that once shaped her. 💙 Her journey is a beautiful reminder that Marian’s impact comes full circle—and that Marian alumnae can inspire the next generation of Marian girls.
