Big Dreams may be over, but the community it brought together doesn't have to end there. Friends of CRCC is how our supporters stay connected year-round by serving as a vital bridge between CRCC and the broader community. By creating joyful experiences for children and families, celebrating and supporting dedicated staff, fundraising to sustain and expand essential services, advocating for inclusion, accessibility and awareness, and building lasting connections, Friends help strengthen and advance the mission of CRCC.

What a day. 🧡 Big Dreams 2026 brought our whole community together at Stinson Park for a full day of games, music, special guest performances, and connection — and we're still smiling about it. Thank you to every family, volunteer, sponsor, and staff member who showed up and made it feel like exactly what it is: a celebration of every kid's ability to belong.

The spirit of Big Dreams lives on every day at CRCC through the people who make possibility happen.

Meet Amber! She is Lead Teacher in our NW Toddler room!

Amber was born and raised in a small town in Missouri, where she lived until moving to Nebraska four years ago. Family is incredibly important to her, and she is the proud mom of two daughters, Geo, 18, and Kennedy, 12. Her family also includes two beloved fur babies—a dog named Skips and a cat named Metro.

Before joining CRCC, Amber worked at OPS, where a principal encouraged her to apply for a para position because she believed Amber would be a great fit. While exploring opportunities, Amber came across a CRCC job posting on Indeed and decided to apply. She quickly fell in love with CRCC, appreciating that it was much more than a typical daycare and especially enjoying the opportunity to work with medically complex children. Amber began her journey at the South location and, within a few months, transitioned to a toddler position at North.

One of her favorite childhood books is Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss, and a fun fact about her is that she loves exploring thrift shops and antique malls in search of unique treasures.
