We love any chance to celebrate faith, culture and community! Last weekend, hundreds gathered for the Annual Hispanic Congress, a beautiful expression of faith and unity in the Archdiocese of Omaha. Families, parish leaders and students (including many from our Consortium schools) came together to grow spiritually. Thank you to all who planned this event and all of the Consortium families who participated. And a special thanks to the Latino Catholic Enrollment Office for the photos! Today we celebrate the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord. It's a reminder that God meets us "on the mountain" and in the everyday, transforming our hearts to shine more brightly with His love.

As our six schools prepare for the new year, we pray that all of our students, families, staff, parishes and community partners continue to grow in faith.

We are so excited to welcome all of our teachers back to the classrooms this year!

Here's a special shout out to some of the new teachers we will welcome into the Holy Cross Omaha community. All three were teacher apprentices last school year and have now completed their certification program.

Please help us welcome another new board member, Chris Wiedenfeld. Chris and his wife are members of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish and have been involved at other area parishes and organizations across the community. Chris also serves as current trustee of the CUES Fund, Inc., as well as current President and CEO of United Republic Bank. We are so appreciative of his commitment to Catholic education.

Reminder: The Saints Peter and Paul Parish (SPP) Festival is this Sunday, August 2!

Be sure to stop by the Consortium booth and visit special guest Rich Cupich at the Alumni booth as we celebrate SPP's rich history. Proceeds from the sale of Rich's new book will benefit the Blase and Mary Cupich Memorial Scholarship Fund, which supports SPP parishioner students who demonstrate financial need and academic promise.

The scholarship honors the spiritual and academic foundation Rich's parents, Blase and Mary Cupich, provided to their nine children at SPP and celebrates their legacy of quiet, steadfast leadership.

Help us welcome one of our new board members, John Jesse. John's wife and three children graduated from Holy Cross Omaha, where he has been an active parishioner for 40+ years. He currently serves as Treasurer at Creighton University and participates in a number of other boards and community groups. We look forward to John's insights and leadership as we continue building an even brighter future for our schools.
