🌿 Announcing Our Community Tuition Assistance Program 🌿

At Whispering Willows Academy, we believe every child deserves access to a nurturing, high-quality early learning environment where they can grow, explore, and thrive.

We understand that some families may not qualify for Washington State childcare subsidy but still experience financial hardship that makes tuition difficult to manage. Because of this, we are proud to introduce our newly established Community Tuition Assistance Program.

This program is designed to support families who are committed to providing their children with quality care but may need a little extra help to make it possible. Families who have applied for Washington State childcare subsidy and were denied may apply for tuition assistance through our program.

Please note:
• There is an application process to determine eligibility, including submission of proof of income and financial need.
• Assistance is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Scholarships are not guaranteed and are awarded based on available funding and program availability.

Because spots are limited, interested families are encouraged to reach out and apply as soon as possible.

This program is part of our ongoing commitment and goal to help make childcare more affordable, accessible, and equitable for families across Thurston County. We are honored to support our community and help ensure that more children have the opportunity to learn, grow, and flourish in a loving environment.

🌿 We’re Hiring Assistant Teachers! 🌿

Whispering Willows Academy is looking for passionate Assistant Teachers to join our team! We provide a nature-based, play-centered curriculum with a positive discipline approach, creating a home away from home where children feel safe, loved, and inspired to grow.

Classrooms Available:

- 6 weeks – 12 months

- 12 months – 2.5 years

- 2.5 – 3.5 years

- 3.5 – 4.5 years

- 4 – 5 years

- 5 – 7 years (2 classrooms)

What You’ll Do:
🌟 Support Lead Teachers with lesson plans and activities
🌟 Supervise and care for children during play, meals, and rest
🌟 Assist with daily routines like diapering, feeding, and hygiene
🌟 Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom
🌟 Observe and document children’s growth and milestones
🌟 Communicate with teachers and families

Qualifications:
✅ High School Diploma or equivalent
✅ CPR & First Aid certification
✅ Food Handler’s Permit
✅ Bloodborne Pathogens & Safe Sleep training
✅ Fingerprinting and background check clearance
✅ Completion of 30-Hour Child Care Basics Course (or willingness to complete)
✅ Washington State ECE Initial Certificate (or in progress)

Preferred: Experience in early childhood, nature-based or play-based curriculum, positive discipline, or supporting children with diverse developmental needs

Pay: $16.66 – $20.00/hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
