Seedlings Preschool and Summer Camp offers alternative, outdoor-based education with a focus on hands-on learning and exploration of the outdoor world. We are located in the Northeast Olympia neighborhood. We provide:
- Empowerment of all genders through experiential learning.
- Support for the whole child and family.
- Organic gardening and outdoor play.
- Nature walks that connect children to
our local ecosystem.
- Non-violent communication skill-building. A typical day at Seedlings includes an opening circle, exploration of the outdoor world, an art activity, group play, songs, and child-led activities. During the school-year, Seedlings offers half-day Preschool for ages 2-5, Monday-Thursday from 9:00-1:00. Families provide lunch and we provide a light snack. During summer, we offer:
- Half-Day camp for ages 2-5 from 9:00-1:00, Monday-Thursday.
- Full-Day camp for ages 6-13 from 8:30-5:30, Monday-Thursday. Kassey Baker, Seedlings Owner and Lead Teacher, has over 15 years of hands-on experience working with children and organic gardening.
