Olympia Regional Learning Academy ORLA is an Olympia public ALE school of choice overseeing four unique programs. ORLA offers K - 12th grades overseeing four unique learning communities.

Olympia Regional Learning Academy (ORLA) is a school of choice, part of the Olympia public school district, meeting the requirements of an Alternative Learning Experience (ALE). iConnect Academy, now part of the ORLA Online Academy, uses an online curriculum with teachers located in our school. Online K-5 students will be automatically enrolled in ELA and Math, 1st - 5th-grade students will be aut

omatically enrolled in ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. All K-12+ students meet their teachers through weekly face-to-face interactions. ORLA Montessori offers four K-2nd (5 years old by Aug. 31) grade classrooms and three 3rd-5th grade classrooms. https://orla.osd.wednet.edu/programs/montessori/enrollment

Montessori and current hConnect students moving to 6th grade have the option of applying to ORLA's Middle School Academy (MSA) for 6-7-8th grades. MSA is for students who are seeking an integrated student-centered learning community that is focused on inquiry-based learning. hConnect is a school of choice supporting home-based instruction by providing enrichment classes and resources that may be difficult to provide at home for grades K-12. Join ORLA as a Washington Reading Corps Literacy Tutor

Are you interested in helping students strengthen their reading and writing skills? ORLA is hiring a Washington Reading Corps Literacy Tutor to support students in our Montessori elementary, homeschool and broader ORLA community.

The Washington Reading Corps member will work alongside teachers to support student literacy through tutoring, literacy-focused events and other learning opportunities. This position is a great opportunity to build professional experience in education while learning more about effective literacy instruction.

We’re looking for someone with a positive, caring attitude and a strong work ethic who is excited to make a difference for students.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with interviews expected to begin in late August.

Monthly stipend: $2,380
