Let’s have Erin Martin, NTP give you the lowdown on PPIs: “Heartburn & reflux are common signs of LOW stomach acid. When there isn’t enough, food sits and fermented, which causes pressure to build up. What stomach acid you do have splashes where it shouldn’t.

Low stomach acid can also keep your esophagus from closing properly to keep the acid out.

Antacids (Tums) & proton pump inhibitors (Prilosec) may relieve symptoms, but they aren’t solving the problem - LOW stomach acid. In fact, they lower stomach acid & continuous use can keep your stomach from producing enough.

Your gut needs support - not suppression.”

One of the things we hear most often from our graduates is how refreshing it was to finally learn to focus on what to ADD in… instead of what to take away.

So many of us grew up believing that feeling good meant eating less, restricting more, and constantly trying to “be healthier” by cutting foods out. But inside the NTP program, the focus shifts toward nourishing the body with nutrient-dense foods that support energy, vitality, and overall wellness.

Because true healing isn’t built on restriction.

It’s built on giving your body what it’s been needing all along.

Now enrolling for the August 2026 cohort for Functional Clinical Assessment (FCA).

FCA is an advanced, hands-on training for NTPs designed to help you move beyond theory and into real-time, objective feedback from the body through reflex point assessment and Lingual-Neural Testing.

You’ll learn how to listen more precisely, so your recommendations become more targeted, individualized, and grounded in what’s actually showing up in the body.

In this training, you’ll learn how to:
• Assess reflex points tied to organ stress and dysfunction
• Use palpation skills to gather clear clinical information
• Apply Lingual-Neural Testing (LNT) to evaluate the body’s response to specific substances
• Build more individualized, responsive protocols for your clients

This is one of the most practical continuing education opportunities available for NTPs who want to deepen their clinical confidence and expand what they can do with clients.

FCA begins this August and there are only 22 spots available.

Interested? Comment “FCA” and we’ll send you the information to get started!

says “Blood Sugar Regulation is commonly disregarded because traditional medicine has taught us it’s only relevant if you have diabetes, which could not be further from the truth. You might think that your anxiety or shakiness when hungry is normal, or waking up in the middle of the night in sweats is to be expected however both of these and other symptoms can be reduced by:
• tweaking the order of how you eat your meal (fiber first, protein & fats second, carbs always last)
• 15-20 walk after your meal
• doing 20 air squats after your meal
• having a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar diluted with water before your meal
• stop eating at least 3 hours before bed”

Most of us have sat in the client seat, feeling judgement for the state of our health.

Sometimes all it takes is a skilled practitioner to shift the tone from judgment to curiosity.

This is where change can actually begin.

Instead of shutting people down through shame, NTPs are trained to look deeper.

Instead of blame, shame, or surface-level answers… we look deeper.

Curiosity creates space for healing.

For learning.

For compassion.

For real root-cause work.
