SPSCC was honored to welcome Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland to our VALOR Center for a meaningful conversation with students utilizing Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) benefits.
During her visit, SPSCC students Nicole, William, and Caleb shared how access to education, career training, and dedicated support has helped them move toward their academic and professional goals. They also spoke candidly about challenges within the VA benefits system and offered thoughtful recommendations for improving access and responsiveness. The discussion provided a valuable opportunity to elevate veteran and military-connected voices while strengthening ongoing efforts to support those who have served.
