Janelle Lymus was selected as 2nd Alternate for flute, and Gracie Park, Cole Hamilton, and Finn Nixon were selected as the 1st Alternate for the small woodwind ensemble category. Congratulations to students who participated in Solo & Ensemble yesterday!🎶

This past weekend, Kyle Andrews (alto sax), Will Harris (clarinet), and Janelle Lymus (flute) were selected to perform in WMEA All-State Honor Ensembles. Finn Nixon (flute), Cole Hamilton (flute), and Keilani Kim (clarinet) also performed with Olympia High School ensembles at the WMEA All-State conference in Yakima, WA. 🎶

A couple of Saturdays ago, PWS students were well represented at CMEA Solo & Ensemble Festival. Janelle Lymus was ranked 2nd alternate in the small woodwind ensemble category. Cole Hamilton was ranked 2nd alternate in the flute solo category. Finn Nixon was rank 1st alternate in the small woodwind ensemble category and is going to state in the composition category. Kyle Andrews was ranked 2nd alternate in the soprano/alto saxophone category, and Ju-an Pak is going to state in the tenor saxophone category. A big round of applause for all who performed!

As the school year is coming to a close, we'd like to honor student achievements this year: Will Harris was selected to participate in the Jr. All-State on the clarinet. Cole Hamilton was selected as a second alternate on the flute at the CMEA Solo & Ensemble, and Finn Nixon went to compete at state on the flute with OHS woodwind group at the WMEA Solo & Ensemble.
