We’ve got locally adapted pepper starts available in the nursery. Lots of varieties, selected for their ability to thrive (even without a greenhouse) in our climate. It’s a great time to come to the farm and see our perennials in their habitat at the farm to get inspiration for what would look gorgeous in your garden. Come on out to the nursery this weekend. New baby chick spotted today. Here are two little ones learning how to eat food from their mama.

Tips for selecting tomato plants. Just because they have flowers (or fruits!) doesn’t mean it’s a good choice. It’s important that tomatoes have strong vegetative growth to have more surface area to collect sunlight bring photosynthesis to give you an abundant crop. The same rings true for peppers.

The nursery will be open on Sunday from 11 to 3 and potentially on Monday afternoon. We have lots of heirloom tomatoes that we are bringing inside every night to make sure that they maintain good health and vigor because it hasn’t reached 50° at night yet. Are heirloom pepper varieties will come out in about a week. Please help us make some space for them by coming to get some tomatoes.
