Last week we did community helpers as our theme for curriculum.

Huge shout out to Olympia PD and K9 Bentley for coming out to show us their cool ride 😎 and talk to us about what they do as community helpers ❤️

Tastey Tuesday 2/24 in toddlers

This week's theme in toddlers was around the world and on tasty Tuesday they visited the country or Mexico! The class had a blast making guacamole with fresh avocados yummy quesadillas!

Such a tasty way to explore culture, beginning math skills, fine motor and sensory exploration all in one activity

It's Dr seuss week here at little flowers in West Olympia!

Our toddlers worked on fine motor, hand eye coordination as well as begin math skills of pattern and pattern recognition.

They used marshmallows with food coloring cat faces as the base then worked on putting strawberries and bananas on the top for cat in the hats famous red and white striped hat

Next week we will be having our first annual Dr seuss spirit week!

We can't wait to see all your fun school spirit!

On this week's tastey Tuesday!

This week's theme if community helpers in the toddler room. Today they talked about stop lights and what colors are on the lights as well as what they mean.

Then got hands on with graham crackers, frosting and gummy rings in traffic light colors. A yummy creative way to not only build fine motor skills but also have a fun sensory taste safe project.

February 12th

Painting with love, toddler got into Thier artistic side and painted hearts with water colors.

February 6th fishy fishy!

Toddler got to have some fun playing in fish gravel using a pincher skills and pre writing fine motor skills to "fish" for paper fish. They also worked on critical thing and problem solving to work around each other and figure out the best day to get the fish out of the gravel.

We will be closed on Tuesday November 11th in observation of veterans day. We will reopen as normal on Wednesday November 12th.

I'm sure we can all relate the unfiltered excitement of being a child and see your regular garbage or recycling person,!

When I say the excitement these kids have for our local lamay drivers I mean extreme excitement they all stop what they are doing to watch and cheer them in ❤️❤️

Having some fun Thursday afternoon making own self expression scare crows. Seeing the preschool and schoolagers work together and mentor each other through this project was so great to see. They were all so kind and helpful to each other
