Thank you for being a sponsor of Washington's Environmental Education Conference. Cispus Learning Center is located in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. They provide a unique northwest outdoor learning environment for students, teaching environmental and leadership education for at-risk students using their challenge (ropes) course, and for any adult group supporting educational objectives. Fun fact: The conference is being held at Cispus Learning Center! Stay tuned for conference registration on September 1st.

State funding for youth outdoor programs had seen steady growth from 2015 to 2025. However, during the current biennium, many of these programs either did not receive funding or experienced substantial reductions exceeding $40 million, resulting in diminished access for youth to initiatives that promote overall wellbeing and access to nature.

On August 20th, from 12:30-1:30, RCO will share information about this approach and are interested in hearing from you to learn how an account of this nature new can best serve Washington youth.

Join in on the discussion tomorrow:

Welcome! You are invited to join a meeting: RCO Request Legislation - Youth Outdoor Programs Account, Information Sharing. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the meeting.

In light of the U.S. Supreme Court decision on June 30, 2026, ruling that states can lawfully exclude transgender girls and women from female school sports teams, in Washington state, this is not the case. We're here to say that ALL kids can play together. It doesn't matter who you are, YOU are ALLOWED to play with whoever you want and wherever you want. Kids deserve to play together, no matter their identity or background.
