TODAY’S CHILD MELTDOWN: A FIVE-ACT DRAMA
Act 1: You give them the blue cup instead of the other blue cup.
Act 2: They scream like you’ve canceled Christmas.
Act 3: You offer the snack they specifically requested. They throw it on the floor.
Act 4: They cry because the snack is on the floor.
Act 5: Two minutes later, they’re laughing, dancing, and asking for a cookie like nothing ever happened.
Meanwhile, you’re standing there wondering if you need a vacation, a snack, or a parenting manual written by someone who has actually met a toddler.
The truth? Little people have BIG opinions and are still learning what to do with all those big emotions.
At Wee Love Learning, we know that sometimes the blue cup is a crisis, the wrong sock is a tragedy, and the banana breaking in half is simply unforgivable.
Deep breaths, a little patience, and a sense of humor go a long way!

Waiting in line? Sitting in a lobby? Instead of hearing “I’m bored!” try turning the wait into a learning moment with “I Spy…” 👀

“I spy something that is red.”
“I spy something that starts with /b/.”
“I spy something that is round.”

A simple game can help children slow down, notice what’s around them, and use their words to describe what they see.

🌱 What is “I Spy” building?
• 👀 Observation & attention — noticing details and focusing on what’s around them
• 🗣️ Language & vocabulary — learning and using words to describe colors, shapes, sizes, locations, and objects
