It's Insanity!
To practice the same things on the range for a different outcome on the course.
Are you hitting the same club on repeat (We call this block practice)? That may be alright if you're working on a specific improvement strategy.
AND we cannot neglect the other aspects of the game: we RARELY get two identical shots in a row.
This is where RANDOM PRACTICE comes in! One of my favorite ways to practice is to "play the course" on the range:
🏌️♀️ Pick a target
🏌️♀️ Change clubs after every shot
🏌️♀️ Go through your routine each time
Today's sequence:
60° → 9i → 7i → 4H → 3W
Each club had a different range thought, but the goal was the same: make one committed swing and move on to the next shot.
Practice the motion.
Play the target.
Do you tend to block-practice (same club repeatedly) or random-practice (changing clubs and targets)?

Integrity. Strength. Patience. Creativity. Transformation.
My relationship with golf has gone through a bit of a transformation: from elementary school introductions, middle school flirtations, high school love-hate in training and competition, and a college break up - during which time I graduated from Baylor University and further earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University. Golf and I have now reconnected, and I'm seeing the

I filmed this last week just before I was sick for the next 3 days. 🥴 The only space I was showing up in was my bed...rest is also self-care for your body. So do that, too!
K, bye!
Exhausted.
Some days it may be dehydration. But usually it's just I'm tired! And I can be tired and weak or tired with some muscles.
I can't guarantee these drills will hype you up, but at least your lower body will have a head start to feeling more ready for your squat.
Or at least you can work on tramsforming your mind from being TIRED to being a TITAN!
Go git'em!
I was wondering why it felt so heavy....
I did the plate math wrong...by 20 #. 😅 Cool to know I could do one, though.
Y'all, I was so confused and impressed. 🤣
First attempt at golf OOTD.
Sometimes I don't know what the heck I want to wear to practice or play. And it can be even more of a struggle if you're going to a new place and aren't sure what the dress code is (check online or call, some places don't allow jeans or uncollared shirts).
My biggest golf fit priority is comfort, then function, then style. And please don't ask what my style is, cuz I'll probably say Functional Comfort. 😅
Clothes gotta allow movement, show MINIMAL sweat, cover both b***y cheeks, and have at least 2 pockets. And cuz I'm advancing in years, a nice pair of compression socks feel good. 🫠
What do y'all wear to golf stuff? Prefer shorts > shorts? Ankle socks > knee highs? Short sleeve > sleeveless?
Hat:
Shades:
Polo and skirt:
Golf shoes:
Compression socks from Amazon?

Powerful and strong legs, chest, and core are all needed to generate force to the golf ball. Especially vertical power against the earth - it starts with legs pushing against the ground, it's then converted into rotational power through the core, and then output through the chest/shoulders, arms and hands. The more force you can generate through the legs, the more torque you can create to get your hands and clubhead whipping quickly around you.
If you want more yardage, move some weight.
The end.
Grocery stores are dangerous.
Lol! Not really, but my knee started acting a fool on our last grocery haul. My hip had been bothering me a little bit that week, too.
Now, I haven't been as consistent in the gym as I would care to admit, and I tell you what, my knee and hip told me to get my act together.
Putting in more reps on the range has definitely put more demand on my lead leg (left side for me), so these exercises truly helped me feel more stable AND mobile.
Cheers to a graceful, pain-free, confident practice!
What the heck is happening?!?
Have you ever had a really hard practice session? You think things are going well, then it all crumbles to chaos? Chasing different feels, drills, and adjustments...
It is sooooooo frustrating. I'm personally working through some things in my swing, and my approach is the following:
- Mobility, strength, and balance work
- Slow down just enough to get my sequence right
- Lock-in my set-up; a lot can go so wrong before you've even moved the club
- Watch and rewatch the footage, cuz the camera does NOT lie
Cheers to doing the work!
You can do everything right in your set up...
..and then you start moving. 😅 I swear my clubface sometimes just wants to go on detours to see more of the course.
Cheers to those who relate!
