Early Childhood School at BSO

Physics is the father of all other sciences. Our youngest campers play with the properties of physics daily as they explore their world. Water and bubbles are favorites. They are exploring surface tension, cohesion, hydraulics, states of matter…. Soap molecules are super flexible and water molecules are super stretchy!

Cooking and following recipes is another application of physics, partnered with chemistry (mother of all sciences) with a little math thrown in.

Showing kindness to animals is a mitzvah. The Jewish value of compassion for animals is called tz’ar ba’alei chayim.
The children were thrilled to meet our furry friends!

Pirate week at summer camp. ❤️
Complete with coconuts… which were named by 16th century Portuguese sailors who thought the three holes on the coconut shell resembled a grinning human face - ‘coco’ . The word ‘nut’ was added later on by the English.
The coconut is technically a ‘drupe’, not a nut. such as peaches, plums and cherries.
And now…. The fun part - trying to get it open!

Ice cream parties, tie dye, and summer lovin’ crafts. ❤️

Love summer camp!!! Our foam party is always a hit ❤️ Talk about enjoying the integration of science into play. Surface tension holds bubbles together. Children’s laughter breaks them apart. 😜
