🎂Classroom Spotlight!🎂

The first birthday in our class of two-year-olds is approaching, meaning they have had the first meeting of the Birthday Committee. For each birthday, a small group of children gather to interview their peer before creating a special present for them.

This ritual both teaches children how to think about others and tests their creativity and teamwork as they work together to bring ideas to life!

🍎About Last Week!🍎

Welcome to 5787!! This year the ECS launched an all new Jewish curriculum- starting with our Rosh Hashanah explorations! Each age group had developmentally appropriate values and traditions to explore- ranging from the sounds of the shofar to the symbolic foods of the Rosh Hashanah Seder to the concept of mitzvot and how we can improve ourselves in the coming year.

We continue to explore these ideas as we move towards Yom Kippur and will build on each idea throughout the school year. Reach out to learn more about what Jewish education looks like at our ECS!
