Assistant Preschool Teacher Job Description

Position Description: Assist lead classroom teacher in the general supervision and management of a class of up to eighteen children ages two and a half through five years old.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Decorate and keep classroom attractive as directed by lead teacher and director
• Organize classroom as directed by lead teacher and director
• Participate in planning themes and special events with lead teacher and director
• Set up art activities and clean up after completion
• Prepare, serve and clean up snack
• Es**rt children to the bathroom
• Clean up the classroom at the end of the school day
• Attend required Staff Meetings
• Keep certifications current (i.e., CPR/First Aid etc.)

Time Requirement: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 3:00 pm; plus, mandatory training and meetings as needed.
