The past 5 days for me have been some of the hardest in my life (but in a good way). I have faced fears I didn’t know I had that have held me back my entire life .

I thought that the hardest part was behind me but little did I know that closing my eyes and experiencing the dream I just had were actually the scariest I would face.

But there was sunshine at the end…in the form of some amazing people in my life that I can now see. People who have been there all along and others who are helping to lead the way .

I haven’t shared publicly that I have spent over 100 hours since January doing Emotional Intelligence work through Pathways To Successful Living Seminars. It is life changing. It is truly the only way I could ever finally process the trauma I have been through in my life.

It's official, I am now a Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP)! I've been doing this work in the classroom for 8 years under my Work-Based Learning teaching certification but this new one is an industry-recognized certification.

It is administered by the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and described as "a credential for individuals from an array of backgrounds, to deliver services and demonstrate core competency in the field of career services." The CCSP certification requires a 120-hour course plus an assessment.
