Last week, Mrs. Hoy's second-grade class at Falls-Lenox Primary School read "Our Class Is a Family" and talked about what it means to make their classroom a place where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and included. πŸ“š

Then they made Promise Bracelets! Each bead represents a promise they made together as a class to help everyone feel safe, welcome, and like they belong.

Our promises are:
πŸ”΅ Be Kind
🟑 Be Helpful
🟒 Play Fair
🟠 Follow the Golden Rule
πŸ”΄ Be Safe

Each time they look at our bracelet, they’ll be reminded of the promises they made to one another. They are a classroom family, and each of them has a part in making our classroom a happy place to learn and grow! 🐾

🎢🐾 A favorite Bulldog tradition returned just before the start of the school year as the OFHS Bulldog Marching Band welcomed our youngest music lovers for Mini-Marchers and the 14th Annual Marching Band Preview Night!

Preschoolers through rising fifth graders joined the band on the practice field to explore instruments, learn school cheers, and practice marching alongside their high school mentors. Families even had the chance to capture photos of their Mini-Marchers with the band! πŸ₯πŸŽΊ

The excitement then moved to Charles A. Harding Memorial Stadium, where a packed home grandstand got its first look at the band's traditional Pre-Game presentation and Half-Time Show 1. The evening also celebrated this year's Marching Band student leaders and gave the entire band a full game-day dress rehearsal before Friday Night Lights begin.

From Mini-Marchers and families to alumni and longtime supporters, it was a great night celebrating The Pride of Olmsted Falls and kicking off another exciting marching season!

πŸ§©πŸ“ Students in Mrs. Kho’s eighth-grade pre-Algebra class at Olmsted Falls Middle School put their geometry skills to the test through a series of fun challenges. During one activity, a blindfolded student had to maneuver puzzle pieces while teammates guided them using geometry terms like β€œrotate,” β€œreflect,” and β€œtranslate.” πŸ™ˆβž‘οΈ

It was a creative way to practice geometry vocabulary while building communication and teamwork skills!
