As part of our 9/11 Remembrance, students in Mrs. Hayes' second grade discussed what peace means to them. Peace is no violence, a nice day with the birds chirping, calm, chilling, listening to others, happy, quiet, a sunset or sunrise, no destruction, helping others, and feeling happy. We made a peace chain to hang in the classroom.

Today, our student body gathered for a reflective prayer service to honor the memory of those lost on September 11, 2021. Together, in quiet reflection and prayer, our school community paused to pay tribute to the victims, pray for their families, and express deep gratitude to the first responders who showed extraordinary bravery in the face of tragedy.
May we always remember the courage of that day, honor the lives lost, and work daily to build a more peaceful world. 🤍🕊️

🍎 Moving Through September! 🍎

Our classrooms are full of hard work, happy smiles, and lots of learning! 💙

📚 Grade 2 is working hard and tackling new learning with plenty of smiles along the way!

🧸 Preschool is settling into routines, building friendships, and getting comfortable with their school days.

🌟 Kindergarten is enjoying every opportunity to learn, grow, and celebrate their classmates’ birthdays! 🎂🎉

👮‍♂️ And there’s always time for great conversation and recess! Our students enjoyed some lunchtime conversation and "tag" at recess with Officer Matt today. What a wonderful way to connect and build relationships within our school community!

Our sixth-grade scientists put their investigative skills to the test today! Building on a recent STEM lesson about animal footprints and field evidence, students examined disinfected bones in class. By analyzing the clues, they successfully confirmed that the mystery remains belonged to an opossum. Great work by our young detectives!
