Happy Easter from all of us at OCO.

This week didn’t exactly bring sunshine, but it brought something better. Our staff leaned in and got creative, turning every space into something special.

From classic Easter egg hunts to “floor is lava” obstacle courses, trivia challenges, and plenty of laughter, our building stayed full of energy all week long.

Because that’s what this place does. It adapts. It shows up. It finds a way.

They say “April showers bring May flowers,” and we felt that! Watching kids grow, connect, and make memories right in front of us.

Wishing all of our families a joyful Easter. We’re grateful to grow together

OCO staff complete professional development, trainings, and certifications every year to stay sharp and ready for anything.

We recently partnered with the school district for First Aid, CPR, and AED training led by University Hospitals. It was a great, hands-on refresher for our team—and good timing as we head into warmer months and more time outside!

Just part of making sure our kids are safe, supported, and in good hands every day.

We celebrated two very special birthdays today at OCO—Miss Judy and Mr. B! 🎉

The kids made sure they felt the love with smiles, laughs, and a whole lot of birthday cheer.

Happy Birthday to two people who make our days brighter!

🍀 Happy St. Patrick’s Day from OCO! 🍀

Today was full of green, giggles, and good old-fashioned fun! Our kids showed up decked out in their festive gear, jumping into games, activities, and a whole lot of laughter with their friends.

A special shoutout to our custom staff shirts—designed and created by one of our very own high school team members, Sully, through his small business No Socks Thursday. Pretty cool to see our students and staff supporting each other both inside and outside the program.

Days like this are what OCO is all about—community, creativity, and a little bit of magic. 💚

Big news for OCO families… we’re growing.

Exciting and rare opportunity: Our After-School Care Program is adding a second Kindergarten class for the 2026–2027 school year.

We have 18 spots available, and they will be filled first come, first served.

OCO After-School Care serves grades K–5 and runs until 6:00 PM each day. OFCSD provides free transportation from the ECC to Falls-Lenox, making the transition from school to after-care easy for families.

Students enjoy:
• A safe, welcoming environment
• Snack and homework help
• Indoor and outdoor activities
• Caring staff—many who live right here in our community

If you're looking for a program where your child will feel supported, active, and part of something special, we’d love to welcome you to the OCO Family.

📧 Email [email protected]
to learn how to complete the registration process.

Spots are limited—once they’re filled, they’re gone.

Two of our OCO students put their engineering skills to the test this week—using nothing but hula hoops and teamwork to build a standing structure!

Hands-on challenges like this are a big part of the fun in our program. Kids get to think creatively, experiment, problem-solve, and discover what works (and what definitely doesn’t) along the way.

Safe to say… these future engineers were pretty proud of what they built. 💚

For the first time in 2026, we finally got our OCO crew outside — and you would’ve thought it was the first day of summer. Smiles, running shoes on pavement, big deep breaths, and that kind of energy you just can’t bottle up indoors.

After weeks of cold, gray days, it felt good to see kids moving, laughing, and just being kids in the sunshine again. Sometimes the simplest things like a little space and fresh air that make the biggest difference.

Here’s to more outdoor days ahead. 🌤️

Just because we aren't with our students on President's Day doesn't mean we won't find a way to connect! So here’s a fun little Ohio history fact to share with the kiddos:

Ohio is known as the “Mother of Presidents.”
Eight U.S. Presidents have strong Ohio roots — that’s more than almost any other state!

Here’s our Buckeye lineup (with their birthdates):

• William Henry Harrison – 9th President – February 9, 1773
• Ulysses S. Grant – 18th – April 27, 1822
• Rutherford B. Hayes – 19th – October 4, 1822
• James A. Garfield – 20th – November 19, 1831
• Benjamin Harrison – 23rd – August 20, 1833
• William McKinley – 25th – January 29, 1843
• William Howard Taft – 27th – September 15, 1857
• Warren G. Harding – 29th – November 2, 1865

Pretty neat for one state, huh?

❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day from OCO! ❤️

We packed a whole lot of fun into Thursday before everyone headed off for the long weekend. Crafts, games, sweet treats, and plenty of laughs filled the room — and these photos say it all.

There’s something special about watching friendships grow, creativity shine, and kids just be kids. That’s what OCO is all about.

We hope our families enjoy a wonderful long weekend together. We’ll see everyone back soon, recharged and ready for more fun.

When a packet arrived a month ago from Food Friends with a nationwide “Young Artist Challenge” and included really cool ideas of food for the students to draw like …
Draw a carrot playing baseball, a cucumber singing, a hot dog playing football. It seemed the skies the limit for creativity. We asked who wanted to do it and we had over 30 students participate. Each entry form has the child’s first name only because it’s submitted as an organization with our OCO address, email and phone number. Today we took a picture of all of our OCO young artists/food friends!
-Thank you to Miss Kyra for organizing the Food Friends Creative Drawing Contest!
