We had such an amazing first week in Spotlight! We visited our garden, picked bell peppers for our cooking project next week, and held Daisy duck (make up pics coming for Giannini/Brink's class next Monday so stay tuned!). We also met Puff the Guinea Pig, Linda the Bearded Dragon, and Petey the Hedgehog and discussed their cool but different adaptations. This led to our self portraits and discussions about our own unique abilities and special talents and how these could be used to help us with our goals of deciding our future careers. Stay tuned for our next week's adventures with cooking in the Spotlight kitchen!😍

Day 4! Today students went over classroom procedures and expectations, created daily agendas to keep work organized and self reflect, created a Galimoto out of limited resources just like Kondi in the book (without knowing what a Galimoto was) and learned about one another with an interest inventory. Ended the day with a STEM challenge which was all about not giving up and perseverance!
