Oley Valley FFA Our motto:
Learning To Do,
Doing To Learn,
Earning To Live,
Living To Serve The National FFA began in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1928.

There were 33 delegates from 18 states who met to form the organization. Four years later the Oley Valley FFA received its charter as one of the first FFA Chapters in PA. In 1932 Ralph Deturk became the first president of the Oley Valley FFA and Dr. Henry Brunner was hired as the first FFA Advisor and teacher of vocational agriculture. Dr. Brunner eventually moved on to teach at Penn State Univers

ity. In 1947, Dr. Brunner founded and directed the first National FFA Band. In 1950 the United States Congress passed Public Law 740, giving FFA a federal charter. To this day, FFA continues to be recognized as a national organization that reaches from the state of Alaska to Puerto Rico and from the state of Maine to Hawaii.

Today the 2026-2027 FFA officer team went on their retreat to The Legend of the Yeti escape room in King of Prussia to work on team work and building bonds with each other. After the escape room, they went to Cold Stone for ice cream! They had a great time, and we can’t wait to watch them grow together as a team.

Looking for volunteer hours while supporting our local community? Join the Oley Valley FFA in helping at the Oley Valley Fire Company’s Annual Peach Festival on Saturday, August 8!

Volunteer Duties:
🚗 Collect parking donations
➡️ Direct visitors to available parking spaces

Choose a 3-hour shift:
🕚 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
🕑 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
🕔 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

This is a great opportunity to earn community service hours, support one of Oley Valley’s biggest annual events, and represent our FFA chapter while serving our community.

On August 8th, the Oley Valley FFA Chapter will be assisting the Oley Valley Fire Company with parking cars for the Annual Oley Valley Peach Festival. Come down to the high school every Monday or Wednesday between 9am and 1pm to pick up your orders. Note we will not be there Monday July 6th due to the holiday but will be back to a normal schedule after that. Thankyou to everyone who ordered and supported.

This past week, 31 members of the Oley Valley FFA Chapter traveled to Penn State to compete at the 97th Annual State FFA Convention. This year, we certainly went "beyond our limits," with 14 of 31 students placing in the top 10 in their competitions, two students placing 1st individually, one team placing 1st, and another four teams placing in the top five. We are immensely proud of our students. And we are excited to see our Employment Skills Student and Horse Evaluation Team competing this Fall in Indianapolis at the National FFA Convention.
