Noel Sheehy, Principal of the Olean CTE Center, has been honored as the Association of Career and Technical Education Administrators (ACTEA) Zone 1 Administrator of the Year!

This prestigious award recognizes Noel’s outstanding leadership, unwavering dedication to Career and Technical Education, and his lifelong commitment to student success. Over his 30-plus-year career, Noel has led the graduation of more than 2,600 students, and championed innovative programs like adventure-based learning and SkillsUSA.

Noel’s integrity, mentorship, and advocacy embody the core values of CA BOCES, and he continues to serve as an essential partner to our districts. His dedication to students is a shining example of the impact we strive for every day.

The safety of our students and school staff is very important to us. One of the ways we stay safe is by holding school safety drills. To help us practice and learn, we will be having a safety drill on June 6th, 2025

Before we practice a drill, we instruct students and staff on what they need to do. We talk about how the drill will be announced and we always inform students and staff that it is a drill.

The Olean CTE SkillsUSA Organization is participating in a NO COST fundraiser. We are collecting gently worn, used and new shoes to raise money to send students to competitions. Shoes collected are donated to those in need.

Leadership Cattaraugus is designed to identify future leaders of the area and help them develop the skills they will need to work more effectively for the betterment of all the people in Cattaraugus County, fostering an impact on community development and quality of life for years to come.
