Friends of Music - Lyme/Old Lyme Schools

Friends of Music - Lyme/Old Lyme Schools Friends of Music supports the music programs throughout the Lyme–Old Lyme Public Schools, grades K through 12, in many different ways.

Friends of Music, a nonprofit organization of parents and community members, provides Scholarships to HS seniors & supports the music programs in all Region 18 schools. We facilitate the distribution of high school band and chorus uniforms and grant special requests from the music faculty of all of the schools for non-budgeted items. Over the past several years, Friends of Music has financed gues

t musicians for the high school masterworks concert, provided mentors for the middle school music program etc.. We have also supported individual students by subsidizing private music lessons for students in need. In addition, Friends of Music provides scholarships to graduating seniors who have demonstrated excellence in the music program and have challenged themselves academically; last June Friends of Music granted a total of $4500 to five graduating seniors.
