2022 Scholarship Application is Posted!

The Foundation was founded in 1893, and established to support education in the towns of Lyme and Old Lyme. The Foundation's primary purpose is the awarding of scholarships to students residing in Lyme and Old Lyme who are enrolled in institutions of learning beyond high school. These awards are grant-in-aid, based on need, and are payable directly to students.

Did you know that MSEF awards are renewed each academic year provided that the student achieves a 2.0 grade point average? And awards are made to the student, not the institution, so they can be used for books, travel, or living expenses.

Last year, 29 members of the class of 2018 received awards!!
Eligibility is solely based on financial need. Financial information is submitted directly to and reviewed confidentially by our financial aid consultant, and is never shared with the Foundation members.
Application deadline is May 6, 2019. Open to Lyme and Old Lyme residents only who are pursuing undergraduate degrees.
