Getting ready for tutoring tomorrow here at Learn and Grow Tutoring 💙

Learning should be multi-sensory, engaging, movement-based, and tailored to each child’s individual needs. Sometimes the best classroom is a driveway with sidewalk chalk, movement, laughter, and hands-on learning.

Meeting kids where they are while building confidence one sound, blend, and word at a time. ✏️📚🌈

Learn and Grow Tutoring is ready for the summer schedule! ☀️📚

This summer is more kiddos than I’ve ever had, and I am absolutely slam-packed! I might be able to squeeze in just a couple more spots, but the schedule is FULL full. 😅

No lunch break around here this summer, so the kiddos may catch me nibbling on a piece of fruit during their brain breaks. 😂🍎

I am beyond thankful for all of the recommendations, love, and support from the families who continue to trust me with their children. It truly means the world to me. Watching these kiddos grow in confidence and skills is such a blessing, and I’m so excited for another great summer of learning and growing together. ❤️

✨ NEW at Learn and Grow Tutoring ✨

I’m excited to begin offering customized summer learning binders for students! I will take orders for next summer beginning in April 2027. These are especially great for students who are on grade level or slightly below grade level and simply need continued practice over the summer so they don’t fall behind. However, I can also create binders for students significantly below grade level who need extra support and don’t have the means to come to tutoring sessions, or advanced students wanting more challenging work.

Each binder is completely individualized based on:
• Parent input
• Teacher input
• Assessments and student needs

For this particular student, her parent and school felt she mainly needed extra practice in math and writing.

📚 What’s included?

⭐ Resource Tab
This section includes helpful reference tools such as:
• Paragraph rules
• Writing checklists
• How to summarize
• Sentence starters/openers
• Paragraph checklists
…and more!

⭐ Extra Paper Tab
Additional paper is included for students who need more space than the provided worksheets.

⭐ Daily Lessons Tab
This section is organized by “Day 1, Day 2, Day 3,” etc., with clearly listed tasks for each day.

For example, one week may include:
• Multiplication fact fluency
• Problem of the day
• Writing assignments
• Math review practice

This particular family requested about 3 days per week of work that would take approximately 1–2 hours each day.

These binders are designed to meet your child exactly where they are academically.

They are perfect for:
✔ Students wanting to maintain skills over summer break
✔ Students slightly below grade level needing continued support
✔ Students significantly below grade level who need individualized practice.
✔ Advanced students wanting enrichment work
✔ Families unable to attend regular in-person tutoring sessions

Some families may also choose to schedule occasional tutoring sessions throughout the summer so I can check progress and provide additional support along the way.

I’m very excited to offer more of these customized learning binders next summer and possibly throughout the school year as well! ❤️

Watching these kiddos grow is the most rewarding part of what I do. 💛

From reading gains and confidence boosts… to jumping from an F to a D+ in math and hitting new milestones—these are the moments that matter.

It truly takes a team—teachers, parents, and support at home—but I’m so thankful to play a small part in their journey.

So proud of these kids and the hard work they’re putting in every single day. 👏📚

It feels like we’re asking kids to run before they can walk.
Pushing harder. Moving faster. Expecting more—without always giving them what they actually need.

And then when they struggle?
They start to believe they’re the problem.

But they’re not.

Sometimes they’re just a little “stepped on”… a little behind… a little unsure.

And just like broken crayons—they still color.

At Learn & Grow Tutoring, I slow it down.
I meet kids where they are and help them build confidence first—because that’s where real learning begins.

💛 Every child is capable. They just need the right support.

My crayon had been stepped on… smeared… broken.

But I’m still out here coloring.

And so are the kids I work with.

Too many students are made to feel like they’re “behind,” “low,” or “not enough.”
But let me say this loud—broken crayons still color.

At Learn & Grow Tutoring, we don’t label kids.
We build them up. We meet them where they are. We help them find their confidence again.

Because when a child starts believing in themselves… everything changes.

And that’s when the real growth happens. 💛

When I share posts like this, it’s not to brag. That’s just not who I am (thanks, Mom and Dad 😊). I share because I’m proud.

I’m proud of the kiddos I get to work with — their growth, their confidence, their wins, big and small. And I’m proud of myself for stepping out of a micromanaged school system and choosing to build something of my own.

In that system, I often felt like my strengths weren’t truly seen. It sometimes felt like the loudest voices or the ones who “played the game” got the most recognition. That just wasn’t me. I was the quiet one. I stayed in my classroom, focused on my students, and did what I believed each child needed — based on my degree, my training, and my continued professional development.

So I took that passion and built my own business — where I can serve the kids who need it most, the way they deserve.

This isn’t about attention. It’s about impact.
And I’ll always be proud of that. 💛
