Our students have a story to tell! 💙💛

The Institute for Education Innovation recently visited Old Forge Junior Senior High School to see Lunch and Learn in action and hear directly from our students.

Lunch and Learn gives students time during the school day to get extra help, complete assignments, connect with classmates, participate in clubs, and recharge. Along the way, they’re learning to manage their time, ask for support, and take greater responsibility for their learning.

Thank you to Principal Michael Griffith, our staff, and our students for sharing what makes this time meaningful. We appreciate IEI highlighting the work happening here in Old Forge!

🍝 Our Table, Our Story Cookbooks Are Still Available! 🇮🇹

Copies of the Old Forge community cookbook are available for $20 each. Proceeds will support Old Forge High School students participating in an educational trip to Italy, including a visit to Old Forge’s sister city, Felitto.

Cookbooks can be purchased through Venmo:

When ordering, please include your name, the number of cookbooks requested, and whether you will pick them up or need them shipped. For shipped orders, include your complete mailing address and add $5 per cookbook.

🍝 Our Table, Our Story Cookbooks Available This Weekend! 🇮🇹

Stop by the Felittese Festival on September 11, 12, or 13 to purchase a copy of Our Table, Our Story for $20.

This community cookbook features family recipes, photographs, and stories that celebrate Old Forge’s heritage and connection to Felitto, Italy.

Proceeds will benefit Old Forge High School students participating in an educational trip to Italy, including a visit to Old Forge’s sister city, Felitto in the summer of 2028!

This project was funded by Lackawanna County as part of the America250 celebration. We are grateful for the County’s support of our students and community history.
