Hocus Pocus…… What a Magical Day at Camp

Our campers were amazed as they enjoyed a fun filled magic show. From incredible illusions to hilarious tricks, the children watched in awe as the magician made the impossible seem possible. There were lots of laughs, smiles, and excited volunteers who helped make the magic come to life.
The interactive performance kept everyone engaged from beginning to end, creating unforgettable memories and inspiring our little ones to believe that a little imagination can make anything possible. It was truly a magical experience that brought wonder and excitement to our camp day.

Our campers were roaring into Dino Week! 🦕🦖

The children strengthened their fine motor skills by creating a variety of dinosaur-themed crafts using raw pasta, Q-tips, and even their own handprints and footprints. Their creativity and imagination were on full display!

For gross motor fun, our campers got up and moving by following along with "Dino Dan", stomping, stretching, and exercising just like dinosaurs.

Storytime featured dinosaur favorites such as Danny and the Dinosaur and The Land Before Time, helping bring our prehistoric theme to life.

We had a roaring good week filled with learning, creativity, movement, and plenty of dinosaur-sized fun!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. This yummy treat was our afternoon surprise on another hot and humid day. The children got to choose their ice cream and enjoy their sweet treat with friends in the class. So many choices and such a delicious way to cool down. Happy summer.

Week #3 of Summer Camp has been filled with fun as our campers became little chefs! The children created a delicious snack using Ritz crackers, bananas, and chocolate sauce as an afternoon snack.

Our crafty chefs also made a paper plate "Spaghetti and Meatballs" masterpiece. Using yellow strips of paper for spaghetti, white paper circles colored brown for meatballs, and finishing it off with red paint for sauce, the children created adorable works of art while strengthening their creativity and fine motor development.

Today was Water Play Day, and it couldn't have come at a better time on one of the hottest days of the week! Our younger campers had a blast splashing in the sensory water table filled with a variety of fun water squishies, while our older campers cooled off running through the sprinklers. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and happy memories made as everyone enjoyed a refreshing afternoon of water-filled fun!

Friday Fun Day was our Tye Dye Day to complete our S.T.E.M week. The children brought in their plain white t-shirt that was rubberbanded into different designs for them to put the varied colors onto. They were hard at work when mixing their colors into the shirt.

Our rising rockets class used their fine motor skills in mixing paint colors and creating a unique piece of art.

Bubbles Galore! 🫧

Our playground was filled with bubbles as NJ Bubbles Parties brought giant bubble wands and mountains of foam to create an unforgettable outdoor bubble adventure! The children danced along to the music while laughing, running, and jumping to pop bubbles of all sizes. It was a fun-filled sensory experience that had everyone smiling from ear to ear. What a bubbly way to enjoy a beautiful summer day!

Wednesdays are for Water Play! 💦☀️

Our first Water Play Wednesday of the summer was a huge success! The sun came out just in time, making it the perfect day for the children to splash, explore, and cool off.

The children had a wonderful time playing in the water sensory table, experimenting with a variety of fun water toys, and running through the sprinklers. There were lots of smiles and laughter as they explored different textures, practiced sharing, and enjoyed sensory play with their friends. It was the perfect way to beat the summer heat while creating lasting summer camp memories!

STEM Week continued with a fun hands-on science activity as the children made their own homemade playdough! They helped measure and mix the flour, water, oil, salt, and cream of tartar, watching as the ingredients transformed into a soft, solid dough. Once the playdough was ready, the children added color using paint or food coloring, then chilled it in the refrigerator to achieve the perfect consistency.

Afterward, they enjoyed exploring their creations with cookie cutters and other tools, strengthening their fine motor skills while encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and sensory exploration. It was a wonderful way to combine science, math, and imaginative play into one exciting STEM activity!

Week #2 of Summer Camp is all about STEM! Our classrooms kicked off the week by exploring a fun sensory science activity. The children mixed shaving cream, glue, and either food coloring or paint to create their own puffy paint.

Some campers enjoyed the sensory experience by squishing and exploring the mixture with their hands, while others used it to create beautiful, colorful puffy paint rainbows. This hands-on activity was the perfect combination of science, creativity, and fine motor skill development, making it an ideal project for a rainy day of learning and fun!
