Happy Birthday to Maria Montessori! (8/31/1870)🌿✨

Today we celebrate a visionary educator, physician, and pioneer whose revolutionary approach transformed how we understand childhood development. Maria Montessori saw children not as vessels to be filled, but as capable, independent individuals driven by a natural desire to learn.
Her groundbreaking work gave us foundational principles that continue to guide homes and classrooms around the world:

• Fostering Independence: "Never help a child with a task at which he feels he can succeed."

• Respecting the Child: Recognizing that children learn best through active, self-directed exploration.

• The Prepared Environment: Creating spaces tailored to a child's natural physical and developmental needs.

Our first summer field trip is in the books as we wrap up Safety Week with a visit to the local fire station! 🚒 🧑‍🚒 The students had so much fun! 🤩 Thank you to City of Olathe Fire Department for showing us around!

We had a wonderful time hosting our end-of-year picnics for both schools this week! We extend our gratitude to all the families who were able to join us. The staff even initiated a friendly game of teacher tag tonight. Safe to say we're all exhausted now! 😂
