📚🌳 Introducing Our Book Tree Project! 🌳📚
This September, we’re helping our children build a lifelong love of books and reading! 💛 Here’s how it works:
1️⃣ Bring a Favorite Book 📖
Each child brings one favorite book from home to share with their classmates.
2️⃣ Exchange & Explore 🔄
Teachers will help facilitate a book exchange so children can explore a new story and experience books chosen by their friends.
3️⃣ Read Together 👨👩👧👦
Families will read the book with their child and talk about the story, characters, and what they thought about it.
4️⃣ Share the Experience ✏️🎨
Families will receive a special book-shaped template where children can draw a picture and families can record their child’s reactions, comments, or favorite parts of the story.
5️⃣ Grow Our Book Tree! 🌳📚
Once completed, the book-shaped page will be added to our Book Tree in the lobby. As September continues, our tree will grow with the reading experiences of our children!
Through this project, children are developing early literacy skills, creativity, communication, and an appreciation for books while learning how to properly care for them. 📚✨
