After 11 years of loving and welcoming families into our home, Barnes Childcare has closed. We are no longer enrolling children for family child care. We will remain active in the Kansas Early Childhood System and believe deeply in the strength of family child care providers. We strongly support the contribution that family child care offers to Kansas' mixed delivery of early childhood care and education options for families.

This page may remain open to help parents access information and resources. Although Kansas faces difficult questions to answer about child care and early learning, we see the talented work provided to our state by dedicated child care providers and early childhood professionals.

We encourage you to stay informed about this topic and join in advocacy to strengthen the experiences we offer our youngest Kansans

Parents, I promised years ago that I would be your resource as you raised your babies. In light of all of last week's heartache, I have been at a loss for words.

The only way that i know how to go forward is to learn about what I don't know. We will begin to introduce new books to expand our library. Between this list and the Corretta Scott King list we will do the work.
