Big puzzles, bigger smiles! 🧩

Newcomb and PJ worked together to finish a school bus puzzle, then went straight on to a jungle full of animals!🐍🐅🦜

Every piece is a small lesson in patience, problem-solving and teamwork, and as you can see, the celebrating is half the fun.

We love watching little hands (and big hearts) learn to build something together... especially when every piece is a small lesson in patience, problem-solving and teamwork. Good work, boys!

Nothing says Friday like a yard full of bubbles!

Our Redeemer Lutheran Preschoolers wrapped up the week chasing, popping, and giggling, and honestly, we can't think of a better way to head into the weekend.

From a pile of dirt to their favorite place on the playground. 🌿

A few weeks ago, this was a strip of soil along the wall. Today it's the Sensory Walk at Redeemer Lutheran Church and Preschool, and our preschoolers have already given it their highest rating: they don't want to come back inside.

Smooth river rock. Wobbly log rounds. A wooden beam to balance on. Cool stone pavers, warm sand, crunchy wood chips, and a tire tunnel that's apparently the best part (we've been told). Every step is a new texture, and every texture is a new word, a new giggle, or a new "do it again!"

Sensory play does big things for small people. It builds balance and body awareness, helps kids who need a little extra movement find their calm, and gives every child, whatever their needs, a way to explore that feels right for them. Watching a three-year-old figure out that river rocks roll and log rounds don't, and then insist that everyone else come try it, is the whole point.

A huge thank-you to Ian Clifford and the team at Cliffy Care Landscaping LLC for building it with so much care. You gave our kids something they'll grow up with.

Preschool families: ask your kids for the tour at pickup. They know every inch.

Story time is our favorite pre-game show. 📖🏈

The Chiefs kick off tonight, but first: the most important game plan of the day happened right here on the rug at Redeemer Lutheran Church & Preschool. Criss-cross applesauce, eyes on the book, and every single one of these little fans locked in. That's focus. Coach would be impressed.

Around here, we practice the important stuff every day: listening, taking turns, cheering for our friends, and being a good sport when it's not your turn to pick the story. Turns out those are the same skills that make a great teammate.

So from our huddle to yours: read a book, hug your people, and go, Chiefs!❤️💛✨

Parents, if your preschooler came home soaked the other day...
we promise we can explain.

A car wash opened on our playground, and business was seriously booming! 🚗🫧

Services included one scoop of water, applied with great enthusiasm. A full interior soak. Detailing by a crew member in neon green shades who took the job very seriously. And a final inspection that required climbing into the driver's seat, just to be sure.

The Cozy Coupe has never looked better!

This is what we just absolutely love about our little ones: give them a toy car and a pot of water and they'll build a whole business, a whole team, and a whole afternoon of joy from it.

Well... we survived week one! 🎨🫧

Here's what we accomplished last week in just three days:
👋 Learning everyone's names (mostly)
🎨 Fingerpainting, which went exactly how you're imagining
🔍 Digging for treasure in the giant sand table (it was reallypompoms)
🚗 Racing toy cars through our made up track in the rocks
🫧 Blowing bubbles roughly the size of a small dog
🧸 Personally testing every toy, indoors and out
✝️ And learning a whole lot about Jesus

By Friday, the first day of school's shy little hellos had turned into full sprints toward friends!🥳

Please help us welcome Ms. Girija to Redeemer Lutheran Preschool!

Ms. Girija joins us as our Mothers' Day Out Teacher Aide, and she'll be greeting some very excited little ones tomorrow morning for the first day of school. She's a mom of two and has been a painter and crafter since childhood, and she brings color, creativity, and a whole lot of warmth to her classroom.🎨

We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow! So glad you're here, Ms. Girija!✨

What a summer it's been! We've spent it soaking up the sunshine, visiting with our families, and making the kind of memories that only come with warm days. So much laughter, and we've loved every minute!

…but as much as we've enjoyed the slower days of summer, we can't wait for what's next. We are so excited to welcome our students back to Redeemer Lutheran Preschool on Wednesday, August 19!🎒
