Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and Preschool

Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and Preschool Connecting people to Jesus as we gather, grow and go. (Hebrews 2:17)

That Jesus rose from the dead on Easter morning and later ascended into heaven. Amen.

We Believe, Teach and Confess as members of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod
(a Christian denomination):

That the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God. (2 Peter 1:20-21)

That there is only one true God, who has revealed Himself in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17)

That all men are sinful and as a result separated from God (Romans 3:23, James 2:10)

That God th

e Father’s love for us moved Him to put the punishment for our sin upon His Son, Jesus. (John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21)

That by His suffering and death on the cross, Jesus made full payment for our sins. (John 20, Acts 1:1-11)

That God’s gifts of forgiveness, eternal life, and salvation come to us, in His Church, through the Means of Grace: His Word and His Sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (Romans 1:16, Matthew 26:28, 1 Peter 3:21)

That forgiveness and eternal life are offered freely by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ and not by good works. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

That Jesus will return on the Last Day to judge both the living and the dead. On that day, He will receive all those who believe in Him. However, those who reject the Christian faith will be eternally separated from God. (Matthew 24:44, Matthew 25:31-32, Matthew 25:41)

That the Christian, in response to God’s love, seeks to worship Him with other Christians, desires to study God’s Word on a regular basis, and serve our fellow man. (Hebrews 10:25, Galatians 6:10, Colossians 3:16)

With the whole Christian Church on earth, we confess the truth contained in the Apostle’s Creed:

We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord:
Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty,
from thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Our Worship:

Is Christ-centered and proclaims the Good News of God's saving love in Jesus Christ. Is liturgical, which means we have a pattern for worship which is designed to convey God's gifts to His people and elicit our response of thanks and praise. Is thematic, which means all the parts of the service (Scripture readings, prayers, hymns, songs, sermon, etc.) are tied into a central theme. Is family friendly. We encourage families to worship and receive God's gifts as a family. We welcome children and infants of all ages during worship services; a nursery is available during family education hour. Is child friendly - Children are encouraged to participate in the worship service. As they enter church they receive a Children's Bulletin designed especially for them with pictures and activities which relate to the Scripture lessons used in the service. Worship bags are also available with quiet activities. At a special time in the service, they are invited to the altar for the children's message. Follows a yearly cycle corresponding to the life of Jesus called the "Church Year"

"Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago." Acts 3:19-21

"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved." Romans 10:9-10

"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
