🚨Student of the Week 🚨

This week’s student of the week is Craig Epoerson! Craig has been training at OKA for almost a year and a half and is about to test for his high green belt in Okinawan Kenpo. Craig actively participate in sparring and has grown to be quite a force on the mat!

Beyond the mat…..
Craig is a junior at Heritage Christian Academy. He has a huge heart and loves his family, friends and Jesus. He currently works at the Club 27 restaurant
over at Sykes/Lady Golf Course. He is involved in his school’s yearbook and Theater and he loves playing multiple other sports just for fun.
Craig hopes to either study meteorology at OU or youth ministry at Mid-America Nazarene University.

Craig is truly a joy to teach. He always comes to class with a smile on his face and a willingness to work. The future is bright for this young man and we look forward to being a part of his journey!

It’s BACK TO SCHOOL time!!! Share those pictures of everyone’s first day of school!!!

As our amazing students begin this school year I pray that they have open minds to learn, open hearts to make new friends. That they choose kindness and love but are not afraid to be brave and bold. I pray that their teachers are are kind, loving and understanding. I pray they are wonderful stewards of knowledge and guide these amazing young minds this year.

I hope that everyone has had a wonderful start to their school year! ❤️

🚨 Student of the Week 🚨

Please help me celebrate and recognize this weeks student of the week Bennett Snider!!!

Bennett is one of our most enthusiastic students. He is always standing in low stances, counting loud, working hard and doing it all with a HUGE smile on his face!

Beyond karate Bennett plays baseball and soccer and loves to snuggle and play with his sweet dog Moose. When he grows up Bennett wants to be a police officer just like his dad! 💙

Bennett is one of those kids that just brightens a room, he is smart and kind and has enough energy to light the world. Oh sweet kiddo may you never lose those amazing traits!!!

Congratulations to everyone who belt tested last night! We see the work you are putting in and are proud of you. While there are always things to learn and improve remember it is not about perfection it’s about progress. So keep working, keep improving and we will see you all on the mat! 💪🏼

Congratulations to the all of the students eligible for promotion today!

Please note, there will not be daytime or evening classes today due to testing.

Candidates, please remember to wear a solid white uniform with all 3 required school patches. Those students testing for the rank of green belt or higher in Okinawan Kenpo will need full sparring gear.
