I’m so going to start doing this! Not the 2:45 one, but definitely 4-4:30!

My kids want to eat a TON of snacks right after school, and since I buy healthy, quality foods, and have 2 kids at 110th percentile, if we’re on the go, this gets expensive! But then when dinner comes, they’re not very hungry and don’t eat much. Then they are squirrelly by 7pm, which already makes getting ready for bed a huge challenge. But then you throw in claims of being “starving” when trying to get to bed…
Having a much earlier dinner, with a second helping or hearty snack later right before getting ready for bed, would probably be way better in our situation!

Some parents feed their kids dinner right after school, saying their kids are more satiated and better behaved.

People, please stop blindly believing the misleading “income tax” graphs that you see. That literally just includes “income tax”, and not estate taxes, capital gains, corporate taxes, and the laundry list of ways that the wealthiest Americans avoid paying their fair share.

It’s easy to claim that you pay your fair share, when you’re hiding most of your money elsewhere, and the amount that’s being taxed for “income tax” is WAY less than you actually make.

Please do yourself and America a favor…and educate!

It’s amazing how much more we are constantly learning about our human ancestors! No longer are the days when we only thought the simple 5 stage chart from Australopithecus to Homo Sapiens was what had existed. Over the years, we have learned so much! There are now multiple other known species, some overlapping in existence on this planet.

For those of you who are skeptical of science, one tidbit to know, that I see wrongly used in less knowledgeable sources, is that Charles Darwin never actually said that man was a DIRECT descendant of apes. After he wrote his 2 most famous books in the mid-1800’s, victorians later incorrectly claimed that’s what he meant, and propagated that misinformation. To this day, people trying to dispel evolution, often continue to use this misinformation. There isn’t one direct line of human evolution, as it’s believed that we branched off many millions of years ago from a common ancestor of primates. Many different hominins (humans) have lived alongside primates since then, evolving and adapting to the areas of the world that they/we lived in. Technically, chronological evidence causes us to believe that we were related to ancestors of common apes, but not in that outdated, simplified, incorrect way.

For all of you who keep ignoring the potential health risks of pesticides and herbicides, claiming, “But the FDA says that it’s safe”, please understand that the FDA ok’s MANY new ingredients, on a regular basis, that they call GRAS, or Generally Recognized As Safe. All this means, is that it hasn’t yet been proven to not be safe. Over and over again, we see ingredients straight out of the lab, going into consumer products, etc, that have had very little testing, and “We the People” get to be the guinea pigs. Once enough people have gotten cancer, or enough babies have been born with birth defects, they then say, “Oopsie! Turns out that wasn’t safe”. The chemical companies then slightly tweak the chemical composition of said ingredient…and unleash another toxic chemical back onto the public. There’s a reason that many other countries have banned quite a few ingredients that are still allowed in our country. They know they are toxic.
