Is it safe to learn to be a private pilot? Absolutely. Throughout your training, you’ll always have an experienced instructor by your side making sure every flight is safe and controlled. Instructors won’t let you do anything that could put you or the aircraft at risk. You won’t fly solo until they’re fully confident in your skills and readiness. ✈️

🛩️ What does a typical flight lesson look like? Most lessons are scheduled for about three hours. That includes a 15–30 minute briefing before the flight to go over the lesson plan, paperwork, and pre-flight checks, around an hour and a half of flying, and a debrief afterward to review what went well and what to improve on for next time. ✈️

🛩️ Can you get your pilot’s license while working full time? Absolutely, but timing matters. Since private pilot training is mostly limited to daytime flying, we recommend starting between March and October when there’s the most daylight available. With the right schedule and consistency, flight training can fit alongside a full-time job. ✈️

🛩️ How long does it take to get your private pilot’s license? It all depends on your schedule. If you’re flying about 3 times a week, you can expect to finish in 6–8 months. Flying more consistently — up to 6 days a week — could get you there in as little as 4 months. The more you fly, the faster you progress. ✈️
