Today we read the book "Sometimes I Feel Like a Fox" which is a book about the Amishinaabe Tribe, and in their culture they have a tradition that each person belongs to a clan represented by a Totem animal. First we illustrated what we thought our Totem animal should be, then we got to paint rocks representing our Totem!

Today we welcomed Kindergarten and new students to our classroom! School starts for everyone on Monday! Don't forget to send enrollment packets with your students. If you still need one drop in to the school or contact your students teacher and we will bring them or pick them up!

Good afternoon all!!! Its that time of year! I will be at Okreek today and tomorrow from 10:30 to 4 pm so if you need an enrollment packet for a new or returning student stop by the school or call/text my cell phone at 406-951-1025 and I would be glad to bring one! School starts on the 14th for Kindergarten and new to the district students and goes from 8:30 to 1 pm! And everyone comes back on the 17th from 8:30-3:30! End of the year Awards and 8th Grade Honoring Ceremony

Good afternoon! We will have our end of the year awards ceremony and 8th Grade Honoring ceremony on Thursday, May 21st, 2026 beginning at 11:30 with lunch provided. It has been a fantastic year and it is always so hard to say “See ya later alligator!” but that time is near!

Tomorrow (Wednesday 5/20/26) we will be sending home student belongings and cleaning out lockers so please make sure they have a backpack so these things can be brought home from the classroom.

We are looking forward to a fantastic last 2 days of school. Students will be dismissed on Thursday after the Honoring and lunch. Have a great summer!

In honor of Unci Maka (Earth Day) we planted Marigold seeds! We also did a community clean up on Monday and we collected about 20 bags of trash!

We welcomed April with some much needed rain and also some tricks :) we made edible play dough and our students got to trick their families by eating play dough!!! Mrs Shawnas class also got "brown E's" (don't worry the actually got brownies too) it was a fun day of fooling!
