There’s just something special about Bulldogs taking care of Bulldogs.

Before tonight’s scrimmage, our football team shared a pre-scrimmage locker room meal provided by Okmulgee alumni and friends of the program. Mollye Mabrey, Ladd Mabrey, LaDana Huffman, Clint Eager, Brenay Collins, Jennifer Helms, Lashon Tuggle, Ashley Haynes, Jesse Graham, and Robert Scott with Windy Chevrolet, made sure our guys were taken care of with pizza, fruit, granola bars, Gatorade and plenty of water. A special shoutout to Casey’s for making the delicious pizza that helped fuel our Bulldogs.

After the team ate, Coach Davis spoke to the players about the work ahead of them, playing together, believing in one another and carrying Bulldog pride with them every time they step onto the field.

And before they headed out, we had a moment that made the night even more special. Former Bulldog football player and Okmulgee alumnus Ladd Mabrey stepped into the middle of the team and led the Dogs in their breakdown.

That’s what being a Bulldog is all about. The players may change and the years may pass, but that connection to Okmulgee stays with you.

Thank you to everyone who helped feed our Bulldogs and showed up to support them tonight.

Freshman Orientation may be over, but Link Crew is just getting started!

Last week, our incoming freshmen had the opportunity to begin their high school journey alongside some familiar Bulldog faces through Link Crew.

Link Crew is a year-long high school transition program built around a simple idea: students helping students succeed. Junior and senior Link Crew Leaders serve as mentors and positive role models for freshmen, helping them navigate the transition to high school, build connections, and find their place at Okmulgee High School.

Orientation was just the beginning. Throughout the school year, our Link Crew Leaders will continue connecting with freshmen and supporting them as they adjust to the academic, social, and everyday challenges that come with high school.

Leading the program at OHS is Mr. Heath Miller, Lead Link Crew Coordinator, alongside Ms. Nikki Potts and Mr. Nick Teague, Co-Coordinators.

We’re proud of our juniors and seniors who have stepped into these leadership roles and are helping make sure the Class of 2030 knows what being part of the Bulldog family is all about.

To our Bulldog community,

Saturday night was more than a graduation ceremony. It was a reminder of what makes this community so special.

Thank you to every family member, friend, teacher, staff member, coach, mentor, and supporter who showed up for the Class of 2026. Your presence mattered. Every cheer, every clap, every hug, every photo, and every smile helped create a night our seniors will carry with them long after they leave the field.

To the Class of 2026, we hope you felt it. We hope you looked around and saw just how many people were standing behind you, celebrating not only what you accomplished, but who you are becoming.

Graduation marks the end of one chapter, but Saturday night showed that you are not stepping into the next one alone. You leave with memories, lessons, friendships, and a community that will always be part of your story.
