Roadrunner family please welcome new Pre-K teacher Mrs. Hudson!!
“Hi! My name is Michelle Hudson, and I am so excited to be joining the Ralph Downs family as a Pre-K teacher this year!
I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree focused in Early Childhood Education and hold a minor in Music Education. I have spent several years working with young children, and I feel so grateful to be able to do what I love every day!
I believe building relationships is the foundation of a great classroom. My goal is to create a space where every child feels safe, loved, valued, and excited to learn. I love incorporating creativity, music, and hands-on experiences to help children grow and discover the joy of learning!
Outside of school, I have been married for 7 years and enjoy spending time with my family, including my two daughters, my brother, and our pets, a pug and two cats. I love reading, singing, all things fall, and I definitely have a sweet tooth for Sour Patch Kids, chocolate, and ice cream!
I am so excited to be a Ralph Downs Roadrunner, and I can’t wait to meet my students and their families! I am looking forward to a wonderful year filled with learning, laughter, and making special memories together. “

RDE family, give a warm welcome to our new art teacher Mr. Cammon!!! 🎭🎨🖌️🖼️
“Hi! My name is Kuwantu, and I am excited to join the RDE family as the Creative Arts teacher, specializing in visual art! I grew up in Los Angeles and moved to Oklahoma in 2008. Before becoming an educator, I was a Disney dancer. I spent 15 years teaching preschool and Head Start, taught drama at Yukon Middle School, worked with students in special education, and coached middle school and high school sports. I am a lifelong learner who has earned four college degrees: a Bachelor of Science, a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and two Masters of Education degrees. I am also an award-winning educator and published writer. As someone with dyslexia, I am passionate about helping students discover that their differences can become their greatest strengths. You can read my MetroFamily article, “Art Education Makes Dyslexia a Superpower,” here: https://www.metrofamilymagazine.com/art-education-makes-dyslexia-a-superpower/ Outside of school, I collect vintage Star Wars and science-fiction toys. Cats is my favorite musical, and I have two cats of my own. I am also a huge Star Wars fan, and I proudly admit that I am from the Dark Side! Students may hear me called by many names because I enjoy playing different characters to make learning creative, memorable, and fun. One of their favorites is “Master Tu-Tu.” My goal is to help every student discover that they are creative, capable, and worthy of being seen. I cannot wait to meet our Roadrunners and create something amazing together!”
