Thick Descriptions 10th Anniversary Fundraising Soiree is TOMORROW!

This isn’t just a celebration, it’s a fundraiser for steAm Learning Journeys. Proceeds from the Soiree will directly support 2027 steAm programming, including over 1,000 hours of teacher pay. It takes talented people to bring hands-on learning to life, and your support helps make that possible.

Spend the day connecting with inspiring community members over lunch, hear from our keynote speaker Dr. Mautra Staley Jones, and celebrate a decade of Thick Descriptions. Most importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape what comes next by supporting hands-on steAm learning experiences for young people in 2027. Hope to see you there tomorrow!

Through steAm Learning Journey, youth get to experiment, ask questions, and see their work turn into real results. This photo shows how planting seeds in hydroponic kits and watching their plants grow, these hands-on experiences, help make learning tangible and exciting. And it takes talented educators to bring these experiences to life.
