Yesterday was International Dot Day! This is always a fun day that encourages students to celebrate their creativity, courage, & just Make their Mark! This year Ms. Gleeson went with a Van Gogh Starry Night theme for our school wide dot presentation! Way to go Dolphins on “Making Your Mark, & Reaching for the Stars!”

Tomorrow is the big day: YEARBOOK PICTURE DAY. THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3!

Here are a few clues about today’s teachers:
🌮 Teacher #1: She was once a Dennis Dolphin student herself, could happily eat tacos for every meal, and has taken to the skies in a hot air balloon! 🎈

📣 Teacher #2: She grew up in a small town right here in Oklahoma, spent her middle and high school years as a cheerleader, and was once very shy in elementary school! 📣

🔬 Teacher #3: Science is her jam, reading is her escape, Arkansas will always feel like home to her, and she has a mini-me in kindergarten at Dennis! 📚🐬

🐢 Teacher #4: She has been a Dennis Dolphin for 17 years, has a collection of silly-but-true stories from her childhood, and currently has the school’s box turtle, Mario, at home! 🐢

Yearbook Picture Day is NEXT THURSDAY, SEPT 3 so we’re throwing it all the way back! 📸

Every day until picture day, we’ll be sharing a throwback photo of some of our JLD staff members. Can you guess WHO IS IT?! 👀

Here are a few clues about today’s teachers:

✨ Teacher #1: She has Southern roots, didn’t grow up anywhere near Oklahoma, and is the newest member of the “Mom” club! 🍼

✨ Teacher #2: She was on a robotics team in high school, puts her love of numbers to use every day in her lessons, and can sometimes be caught being a little silly in the hallway! 🤖

✨ Teacher #3: She’s new to Dennis this year, has lived in Oklahoma her whole life, played college basketball, and absolutely hates lasagna! 🏀

One thing they all have in common? They teach some of our oldest dolphins in the school!

Once again, the incredible students of JLD along with the amazingly talented art instructor, Miss Jenny Gleeson have truly outdone themselves! 🎨✨

Our school is filled with budding artists, and Miss Gleeson’s creativity, passion, and dedication continue to inspire each and every one of them. Her talent knows no limits, and it shines through in the beautiful work on display.
A huge THANK YOU to Miss Gleeson for all the time, heart, and hard work you pour into our students. We are so proud! 💛
