Our Fall Tiles & Touchdowns Sunday Social League starts THIS Sunday, and I promise, “league” doesn’t have to mean intimidating competition.

This is our social American Mahjong league. We keep scores and enjoy some friendly competition, but the heart of Sunday League is getting more time at the table, building confidence, and creating community.

I had a vision for her before I could fully see her. 🀄️💗

When I started Mahj & Bougie, I knew I wanted to create more than Mahjong lessons or another event on the calendar.

I wanted to build a place where someone could walk into their first American Mahjong lesson in Oklahoma City, learn the game, build confidence, and then have somewhere to keep playing.

A community where you can come alone and still find your table.

Where beginners become players. Players become regulars. And strangers become the friends asking, “When are we playing again?”

That’s the Mahj & Bougie I’ve been building.

From Mahjong 101 to social play, Fall Leagues, Troop Mahjong Oklahoma, and everything still to come, I see that vision becoming real every time I look around our tables. 🥹

And she looks a whole lot like community.

We’re still building. More people to teach. More seats to fill. More friendships waiting to happen.

🀄️💗 Summer League memories that deserve a permanent spot on the timeline.

Our inaugural Mahj & Bougie Summer Social League was about so much more than the wins.

It was 6️⃣ sessions of American Mahjong, growing confidence, new friendships, LOTS of laughs, and watching players get better every time they came to the table.

And, of course, we ended the summer by sending one very lucky league player home with a gorgeous Grand Prize tile set! 🎉🀄️

Mahjong Cowgirl was one heck of a night at Bar Serra!

We officially introduced Troop Mahjong Oklahoma and celebrated The Mahjong Open, Oklahoma City with 34 American Mahjong players, including friends who traveled in from Arkansas to join us.

And these cowgirls came to PLAY. 🔥

We saw 929+ points earned across the tables, jokerless hands, Singles & Pairs wins, Troop Mahjong merit stickers, new friendships, and plenty of laughs along the way.

This is exactly what I want Mahj & Bougie to be about. Creating more places to play American Mahjong in Oklahoma, helping players grow their game, and making it easy to walk into a room without knowing everyone and still feel like you have a seat at the table. 💗

And we’re just getting started.

🏆 The Mahjong Open, Oklahoma City is currently in Series One, and Founding Player registration remains open through August 31.

You do not have to live in Oklahoma City. Since OKC is the first Mahjong Open city in Oklahoma, players from across the state can participate. Grab three registered friends and create your own matches, or join games with new players. You choose when and where you play.

The more Oklahoma players who join, the more opportunities we have to create games, grow our Mahjong community, and make some noise on that national leaderboard. 😉

Looking for an American Mahjong league in Oklahoma City this fall? 🀄️ We’re getting ready for another season of Mahj!

We just wrapped our inaugural Mahj & Bougie Summer Social League, and what started as six sessions of Mahjong became so much more.

Players improved their games, gained confidence, met new people, and built friendships around the table. Some arrived knowing no one and finished the season with an entirely new Mahjong crew. 💗

Now we’re ready for FALL, with two different ways to play:

Mahj & Bougie is officially bringing Troop Mahjong to Oklahoma, and we’re kicking things off this Wednesday with our Mahjong Cowgirl Open Play! 💕👢

If you’ve been looking for more opportunities to play American Mahjong, meet other Oklahoma players, and have a little fun while doing it, grab your boots and join us.

Troop Mahjong puts a playful twist on the game we already love. Players can earn merit stickers, fill their Troop Mahjong Merit Books, complete challenges, participate in themed events, and earn prizes along the way. And this fall, we’re bringing that experience into the first Troop Mahjong League in Oklahoma! 🏅
