📢 Back-to-School Health Reminder for Parents

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Incoming 7th Grade Students:
A Tdap vaccine is required before the start of 7th grade. Please make sure your child's updated immunization record has been provided to the school.

Updated immunization records may be emailed to [email protected].

Immunization Exemptions:
If you are requesting an immunization exemption, please complete the online exemption application at:
https://imm-public.osdh.immytech.com/
Once your exemption has been approved, please email the approval letter to the school nurse.

Medications at School:
If your child will need to take medication during the school day, please note the following:
A Prescription Medication Authorization Form must be completed and signed by your healthcare provider.
All medications must be turned in to the school nurse on the first day of school.
Students are not permitted to self-carry medications, with the exception of approved rescue inhalers (when authorized according to school policy).

School Supply List Now Available!

The 2026–2027 General School Supply List for Dove Science Academy MS/HS South is now available! Getting supplies early is a great way to help students feel confident and ready for a successful start to the school year.

Please keep in mind that this is a general supply list. Teachers may require additional materials specific to their classes, and those items will be shared in each course syllabus at the beginning of the school year.

Back-to-School Orientation is Almost Here!

We’re excited to welcome our students and families to Dove Science Academy Middle/High School South for the 2026–2027 school year!

Important: Parent attendance is required for the in-person orientation. Please note that orientation is held on three different days based on your student's grade level and whether they are new to Dove Science Academy. Also, the Grade 5–7 and Grade 8–10 orientation sessions are open to siblings, regardless of their grade level.

Good morning parents,

Please review the following instructions for graduation:
• 7th grade students must report to the Science Museum by 5:00 PM.
• 8th grade students must report by 7:00 PM.
• Dress attire is formal for all students.
Doors will open for parents:
• 5:15 PM for the 7th grade graduation
• 7:15 PM for the 8th grade graduation

Please ensure an early arrival in order to allow time for parking and ticket check-in. A ticket is required for entry.
Please note there will be a check-in table located outside of the museum prior to graduation start times. No entry will be permitted until doors officially open.
Graduations will begin promptly at their scheduled start times. Late arrivals will be seated in a separate area away from their party in order to avoid disruption of the ceremony.
Please also note that viewing of the Science Museum after graduation is prohibited. Graduation activities will take place in the auditorium only.

We look forward to celebrating this special occasion with all of our students and families!

In recognition of National Volunteer Day on April 20th, we are proud to celebrate Arteriyah S., one of our 9th grade students, for achieving an incredible milestone—70 hours of volunteer service as a first year high school student.

As a freshman, this is a huge accomplishment and a strong example of dedication and leadership. At Dove, completing 100 hours of volunteer service by the end of senior year is a graduation requirement, and Arteriyah is already well on her way.

As a new high school, we are building a culture of service, and she is helping lead the way. Congratulations, Arteriyah, on this remarkable achievement. We look forward to seeing all the great things you will continue to accomplish!
