JMHS OKC Class Of 1977 Reunion

Hi Everyone,

My name is Angus McAntire. I was at teacher at John Marshall High School in the 1970s. I am now retired after 35 years of teaching in Oklahoma public high schools. The news about the passing of Rob Roth brought back memories of those days that I would like to share with you, the JM Class of 1977.

I spent six years as a student at JM (grades 7 thru 12) graduating in 1966. My first teaching job was back at JM from 1972 thru 1977.

My formative years as a person were at JM, and my formative years as a teacher were there as well. I have JM red & royal blue blood in my veins.

I left JM with your graduating class in 1977. I spent most of my teaching career with the Mustang Schools, and finally finished at Putnam City North High School.

For me, teaching and working with teenagers was a GREAT life!!!

I never had any "bad" classes, but looking back over all the years the class that was the most rewarding, enjoyable, and memorable for me was the John Marshall Class of 1977!

I hope that you are all doing well, and I hope that some of you remember me.

It is with sadness I share our friend Rob Rothe, class of ‘77 passed away on Saturday, May 11th. Services will be held June 1st in Enid, Oklahoma. Robbie was a dear friend and classmate. He attended the journalism all classes reunion hosted by our Louanne Ward Trueblood last June.

Yes the football team is still playing in the Playoffs, but the girls basketball team has already started playing games., Let's get the girl's basketball team the equipment needed to play their best. Reunion meeting tonight. It's almost Reunion time

Ask Larkin has said we are getting closer to the Reunion. The committee is having a meeting tonight to finalize some of the plans Johnnies @ 6pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Reunion.
