Spanish Immersion Programs for children ages 1-8. We understand the challenge families face in reinforcing foreign languages at home.

Mommy & Me:
Our full immersion Spanish classes for children and their parent/caregiver meet once or twice per week. Children are enrolled in developmentally appropriate classes that create building blocks for second language acquisition and foster a love for new cultures and traditions. Each week we provide take-home resources which include activities, vocabulary and pronunciation guides to help

Books to read before first day of school! This year I’ll try not to cry during “hilo invisible” or “siempre te querré”😭😭😭

Which books will you be reading?

Are you nervous to send your child to school for the first time? Or the 5th time?

Yeah! Me too!

For the first time ever, I’ll be sending my oldest to a 2-day homeschool hybrid program… Even though he’ll be at my school (Bilingual Family) the other days, I’m freaking out a bit!

I’ve spent over a decade helping families have a seamless transition into school and now it’s time to listen to my own advice.

Hope this is helpful for you! (And me😬)

Comment “school” to get your back to school guide!🫶🏽

Viven en mi! Los amo!

3 tips for a smoother back to school morning routine

1- prepare the night before
2 - a visual checklist (free pdf in bio)
3 - first/then (thanks )

Jon and I came up with this catchy phrase
“Ready for the day, then play”

Mateo (3) helped me translate it with a rhyme 😍😍😍
“List@ para el día, después jugar con alegría”

You’ll notice that the checklist has words only instead of phrases. This serves two purposes

- help you incorporate Spanish to your morning routine in a simple way.
- engage cooperation by asking a request with just one word. This concept (say it with a word) is from the book “How to talk to kids, so kids will listen and listen, so kids will talk)

We truly hope it helps you… and us!🤣

Con amor,
Daniela y Jon

Free back to school countdown!😘

I want to share with you a simple activity to help your child prepare for the first day of school. It's a visual countdown. It will help your child "see" how close they are to the first day.

We use this at home all the time. It has helped us prepare for vacation, Christmas, birthdays and even allergy testing. Attached, you'll find a PDF to serve as a guide.

You can make it as simple or as elaborate as you want:

Simple - Don't print it off. Instead, write on a piece of paper "How many days until school starts?" then draw circles (each representing the number of days until school starts) and color one in each day.

Semi-elaborate- Print PDF. choose 2/3 activities to do. Cut out those activity icons and glue them on the day you do the activity. color the rest of the circles each day.

Elaborate - Print PDF. Cut out all the activity icons and glue them on the day you do the activity.

This is so helpful in helping your child prepare and get excited for the first day.

Daniela
