NEWS RELEASE: Eastern announces spring 2025 honor rolls

WILBURTON, Okla. – Eastern Oklahoma State College has announced honor rolls for the spring 2025 semester.

There were 132 students named to the President’s Honor Roll, which requires a 4.0 grade point average in 12 or more credit hours during the semester. There were 233 students named to the Dean’s Honor Roll, after completing 12 semester credit hours with at least a 3.0 grade point average and no grade lower than a “C.”

WILBURTON, Oklahoma – Eastern Oklahoma State College is headed to the South Central District Championship after capturing the NJCAA Region 2 Baseball Tournament title this past weekend in Seminole, Okla.

This year’s President’s Leadership Class chose to make a difference close to home.

As part of their community service project, the President’s Leadership Class raised $250 and presented a check to Wilburton Public Schools to help pay off outstanding student lunch balances.

“We wanted to make a difference in a way that directly supports our community’s kids,” said sophomore Jacy Browne during the banquet. “We’re proud to know our efforts are helping provide meals to those in need.”

Thank you to Mrs. Mandy Bartlett for attending the banquet and accepting the donation on behalf of Wilburton Public Schools — and to the President’s Leadership Class students for leading with heart.

We’re so proud of you, Geralyn — your hard work, leadership, and talent continue to shine both on and off the field!

Yesterday, we had the chance to celebrate someone who believed in us from the very beginning. Dr. Janet Wansick has been a mentor, a supporter, and a true champion for PLC. Her leadership shaped this program — and her heart shaped all of us. We’re going to miss her more than we can say, but her impact will always be part of who we are.

Today, our President’s Leadership Class took their leadership journey to the Oklahoma State Capitol!

Joined by President Janet Wansick, the class met with local legislators, explored the legislative process firsthand, and had the incredible opportunity to attend Governor Kevin Stitt’s press conference—followed by a personal visit with the Governor and a special tour of the Governor’s suite.

But the true highlight of the day came when Senator Warren Hamilton recognized our students from the Senate floor, giving them a heartfelt shoutout in the gallery for their presence and achievements.

We’re proud to see our future leaders representing Eastern with excellence!

**Jacy Browne**, a standout member of the President’s Leadership Class and the EOSC Mountaineer Softball Team, has just been named the **NJCAA DII Player of the Week!** 🥎💥

Her hard work, leadership on and off the field, and relentless determination continue to make us proud. Jacy is the perfect example of what it means to be a **Mountaineer and a leader.**
